A Word on the Setting: The series takes place in the near future, but not too near. Centering on the city of Orlando, Florida, in the United States, Night Warrior battles crime and aliens with the aid of an alien resistance group known as the M.I.C., a section of which is refered to as the Couch Cops. Buildings rise higher than anything previously known to man, and act partially as expanded living space for an exploding population. Space travel isn't consumer-friendly just yet, but robots and other artificial inteligence units assist mankind 24 hours a day. While the world is at peace and prepares to expand living into space by means of colonies and low-cost interstellar travel, the universe beyond their backdoor is a pot boiling with war the humans have no idea of. Maylartians, a ruthless and terrible race of warriors, control 70% of the galaxy, leaving only a few unaligned worlds to resist their tyranny. Little do the Earthlings realize that their planet is right on the doorstep of the next Maylartian advance.

Night Warrior: The hero of the comic, he wears highly durable mechanical armor loaded with weapons, computer systems, and all the great stuff that make a mecha warrior great. By day he is multi-trillionaire and corporate guru Tom Bonds, and owns half the world's businesses. By night he fights to protect his investments from hackers, thieves, and corporate espionage. It was by pure chance he came across the underground alien organization of the M.I.C. and met his greatest admirer, Couch Cop. Suited up with the latest technology, he feels no need to be tactful or delicate about any battle situation, wontonly throwing himself in the line of fire without fear of being harmed. And, for good reason. Able to calculate precision aiming corrdinates, deflect even the toughest round, absorb the highest energy-weapons fire, and withstand a nuclear blast at ground-zero with minimal impact, fighting Night Warrior is like standing in front of a full-speed bullet train and not expecting to get hit. Naturally, though, this can lead to unfortunate accidents, and millions in property damage. ...oh wait, we like property damage!

Couch Cop: An alien of unknown origins, she does not even know her real name. Looking for someplace to fit in, she joined the M.I.C. to travel the galaxy and maybe even find her home. Disliking any names that had been chosen for her previous to her service, she decided to simply take the name of the eleite section of M.I.C. agents that infiltrate and blend with alien cultures to detect wrongful extraterestrial influence. Having been saved by Night Warrior on a few occassions, she feels a great attachment and devotion to him. Unfortunately, her belief that Tom Bonds uses stolen alien technology to expand his corporate empire makes her the bitterest enemy of Night Warrior's secret identity, causing quite a bit of reluctance on his part to display any affection towards her for fear of breaking her heart, or worse, getting killed.

Cameraman: The basic run-of-the-mill human, he carries a studio-quality digital video camera and records the events in a typical night for Night Warrior for the popular TV show "Coppers". He wears only a bullet-proof vest, and clear plastic goggles to protect his eyes. He first got started in the film industry when he watched behind-the-scenes footage of a popular movie when he was a child, and began making movies of his own with his friends and toys. In college, he learned the ins and outs of the television industry while interning at a local studio, and was later hired to do on-location camera work for the network's longest-running "reality TV" show, featuring police officers investigating crime and aprehending culprits in real-life situations.

Hover Ninjas: Not one character in particular, but worth mentioning here. Hover Ninjas are a gang of mercenary computer hackers with access to advanced technology. Though not the brightest bunch, their knowledge of computers, software, and infrastructures match or beat the world's finest computer scientists' and engineers'. Their choice mode of transportation is their trademark black hover boards which they use to speed to their next target. They arm themselves almost always with automatic weapons, breaking the stereotype of a "ninja". Unfortunately, they're not very agile either, and almost always rely on technology to be stealthy, which usually leads to their eventual downfall. However, a rumor is spreading that a change is taking place within the gang, and that new members with different ideas are starting to join and possibly take over.

Maylartian Warrior: A genetically-enhanced soldier from the Maylartian species that wears durable armor and a four-barrled plasma "Slug Gun" in place of its right arm. Originally sent to Earth as a scout, this Maylartian found itself to be in way over its head when it encountered Night Warrior and Couch Cop on top of a sports dome. What else there is to know about this creature from a distant world will only be discovered with time.
